About our resources We are a small charity with no paid staff, completely reliant on donations to fund our running costs. These can be high: our vets' bill for one month can come in at £1,100 or more. We are very sorry but we are unable to pay vets' bills for animals other than those in our care.
We are also sorry that we have limited capacity to take in all the animals that need our help. Our pens and foster-homes are always over-subscribed, and space can only be found when one of the residents moves on to a permanent home.
All donations of money, food and goods to sell are gratefully received. Please see elsewhere on this site for details of events and help needed.

Fantastic Plant Fayre! A HUGE thank you to Linda who organised our presence at the Plant Fayre in Cusop on Saturday 4 May, and to her band of enthusiastic helpers. They raised £1,316.77 which is magnificent, and we also received many kind donations of cat food. It was wonderful to hear news of so many former Hay cats who are so much loved in their new homes, and to see pictures of some of them. Thanks also to everyone who donated items to sell. We had a glorious display of plants despite the hard winter and difficult growing conditions, as well as lots of other goodies and tempting cakes.
August 31st On 31 August 2013 we have booked two tables in Hay Butter Market for a Tombola and cat-related items, plus jams, chutneys, cakes and plants. We need things to sell on the day and tombola prizes, including new items, unwanted gifts, sweets, chocolates, biscuits and wine. All donations welcome! (More information to follow when confirmed)
Fosterers needed We urgently need foster homes for cats in our care who are waiting for a permanent home. If you have space and time, and are interested in helping in this way, please contact Kathie on 01497 821401 for more information.
